BURIEN, Washington -- December 12, 2006 -- The winner of the iGame Radio Contest of Technical Difficulties, sponsored by PopCap Games, was announced on the December 11 live broadcast of the original Mac game radio program. Revealed to an eager chat room of Mac gamers at 7:15 pm Pacific Time, Kevin Wong has won the prize package worth $270.
The contest, begun on August 14, asked listeners to guess how many technical difficulties host Omaha Sternberg would have on her show between then and November 27. Kevin Wong won the prize with his guess of one technical difficulty. Kevin's prize package includes an iGame Radio t-shirt, Call of Duty 2, Quake 4, WingNuts 2, Civilization IV, Legion Arena, and Bejeweled 2 and Zuma Deluxe (both donated by PopCap Games).
The December 11 show is available as a podcast or streaming MP3 on MacRadio, where they'll also find archives of past broadcasts. QuickTime 5 or above and a 56 kbps or faster Internet connection are required for live broadcasts; QuickTime 5 and above, or iTunes 4.9 or other MP3 enabled software (such as iPodderX), are required for access to the podcasts and MP3 stream.
