The Mac Gamephiles Becomes iGame Radio

BURIEN, Washington -- June 22, 2005 -- On Monday, June 20, 2005, Omaha Sternberg, host of The Mac Gamephiles, announced a name change for her Internet radio show. The new name is iGame Radio.

Shortly after announcing the name The Mac Gamephiles on the debut broadcast for the show on June 6, 2005, response from some fans led Omaha Sternberg to realize that the name might cause conflict between the radio show name and the name of the popular website macgamefiles.com.

"The last thing we want is to dilute someone else's trademark," said Ms. Sternberg, "and we certainly wouldn't want fans to end up mistyping the name of the show and go to a different site while searching for us."

After holding a name poll on the radio show's webpage for a week, Ms. Sternberg announced the result on her show on June 20, which can be heard at http://www.macradio.com/shows/igameradio/

iGame Radio can be heard live on MacRadio from 6 to 7:30 pm Pacific Time, 9 to 10:30 pm Eastern (Tuesday from 0200 to 0330 UTC), and on demand thereafter. Listeners can tune in at iGame Radio web page http://www.macradio.com/shows/igameradio/, where they'll also find archives of past broadcasts. QuickTime 5 or 6 and a 28 kbps or faster Internet connection are required.
